2. Pay the relevant subscription fee.

Polar Postal History Society of Great Britain Data Protection Policy

Purpose - The Polar Postal History Society of Great Britain will use and hold the membership data supplied by society members for the purpose of organising the society, promoting polar philately and to provide services to the membership.

The Committee of the Polar Postal History Society confirms that the Society uses your personal information in the following way:

  • Contact details for distribution of the Polar Post
  • Recording and notification of annual subscription payments being due
  • The management of society auctions
  • The membership list to be held by the membership secretary
  • Names (and if volunteered, email addresses) will also appear associated with articles and exhibits that are provided for inclusion in Polar Post and on the web site.
  • Personal information is never shared with third parties
Period of holding the data - The Polar Postal History Society of Great Britain membership secretary will hold membership data for existing members. Lapsed members will have their details deleted 24 months after they fail to respond to the last request for payment. Deceased or resigned members will have their details deleted after notification to the membership secretary.
Membership Lists -
Membership lists will not be publically available, but members will have an option to include their contact information within a members only section of the website.

Cancellation
-  Membership information can be removed at any time on request. Please contact The Polar Postal History Society of Great Britain Membership Secretary if you wish to do so.

Security of data - The Polar Postal History Society of Great Britain will handle the data in a secure form and will not distribute to third parties other than for the purpose outlined above.

Agreement - The Committee of the Polar Postal History Society of Great Britain confirm that the data provided will be used for the outlined purposes above.
